Early Years:

BBIS provides a caring, nurturing environment which allows children to thrive and enjoy their learning experience. Learning is based on the English National Curriculum’s Early Years Foundation Stage(EYFS) framework with a topic-based approach, enhanced by free-flow learning.

The EYFS sets the standards that all early years providers must meet to ensure children learn and develop well and keep healthy and safe. It promotes teaching and learning to ensure children’s ‘school readiness’ and gives children the broad range of knowledge and skills that provide the right foundation for future progress through school and life.

The Role of a TA:

Our TAs work with students alongside the class teacher to provide support and challenge so that we can meet the student’s needs. The TA is also there to be a role model for the students, to build relationships, to support and guide the students in their learning journey. TAs are the teacher’s second pair of eyes, making observations and offering feedback on learning gains. We are there to work together with classroom teachers following the same teaching methods and established classroom rules so that the students can make as much progress as possible.
