At BBIS, during Years 1 and 2 , we continue to create a passion for learning to encourage children to be curious about the world around them. We build on the strong foundations of the Early Years so that every child flourishes socially, academically and creatively.
During Years 1 and 2 the children will extend their learning and be encouraged to have the confidence to explore and develop curiosity and be resilient in their learning. We follow the British National Curriculum and are moving to the IB PYP in the coming months. Our curriculum is adapted to meet the needs of the children in an international setting.
The children continue to spend much time learning outdoors and carrying out community action. Education must be relevant and valuable so children can see the impact that they can have. The teachers give the children responsibilities and trust, enabling them to achieve more as part of a caring and supportive community.
