Profile of a Primary Graduate

Profile of a Primary Graduate

At BBIS Primary, our children grow within a warm, ambitious and internationally minded community. As an IB Continuum School serving families from more than 35 nationalities, we place students at the heart of all we do. Grounded in the IB Learner Profile and our values of Caring, Learning, Respect, Safety and Resilience, our Primary graduates leave us as confident young people who are ready for the next stage of their journey.

They are not defined only by what they know, but by who they are becoming.

Curious and Reflective Learners

Our Primary graduates are curious about the world. They ask thoughtful questions, explore ideas with enthusiasm and reflect on their learning. With the guidance of skilled teachers and through small classes and close relationships, they learn how to think about their thinking. They begin to understand their strengths, recognise areas for growth and take increasing responsibility for their progress.

Resilient and Brave

Children at BBIS learn that challenge is part of growth. They persevere when learning becomes demanding and understand that mistakes are opportunities. They show courage in trying new things, adapt to change, and approach uncertainty with a positive mindset. They learn to manage friendships, transitions and academic expectations with increasing independence.

Clear Communicators and Thoughtful Thinkers

Our Primary graduates express their ideas with clarity and confidence. They listen respectfully to others, value different perspectives and use evidence to support their thinking. Whether speaking, writing, creating or collaborating, they communicate with purpose and care. They are developing critical thinking skills that will support future academic success.

Internationally Minded and Compassionate

In a school community representing over 35 nationalities, children learn daily that diversity is a strength. Our Primary graduates show empathy, kindness and respect. They understand that their actions matter. They take part in service, contribute positively to their class and community, and demonstrate a growing awareness of the wider world.

Responsible Young Leaders

Leadership in Primary begins with self-leadership. Our graduates show responsibility in their learning and behaviour. They care for others, uphold our shared values and contribute to a safe and supportive environment. They are beginning to see that leadership is about service, integrity and making a positive difference.

By the end of Primary, BBIS students are confident, capable and compassionate young people. They are well prepared for the academic demands of Secondary and, just as importantly, for the responsibilities of belonging to a diverse and interconnected world.
